I found this interesting article today and I could not help but get a chuckle out of it.
The article discusses how some people think they will stick it to the man and pay the traffic ticket in pennies, instead of paying with a check or other legal tender. The problem is there is no "Federal statute mandating that a private business, a person or an organization must accept currency or coins as for payment for goods and/or services".
If you are like the rest of us, you probably have been pulled over by an officer, so why not contact a traffic lawyer to discuss your case and see how to win the charges against you.
Paying your traffic fine is not the only thing that you will be facing. In fact, if you are charged with a moving violation, you will be looking at increased insurance rates for at least three years! So if you are thinking of paying your fines with lose change (although I do not advise it), you should get enough change out for your auto insurance rate hikes!
If you really want to stick it to the man, you should consider employing a good traffic defense lawyer to help you. We know how to fight traffic tickets and may be able to get your case dismissed. When the city or county does not get your money that will be the way to stick it to them because they won’t get paid!
If you have questions or concerns regarding a traffic, DUI, or criminal case, please feel free to contact our office to discuss your case. We offer affordable flat rate fees and we will answer any questions you may have regarding your case.
